So We Are

Hey Chic Girls!

I’m back this week with a new boutique for you guys to check out!

So We Are is a small boutique located in Ledru-Rollin part of Paris. It is more on the pricier side, but very popular. This is a store where quality over quantity is more important. There were only two employees inside, and they are clearly passionate about their job. They were eager to help customers put together outfits. Fellow customers even review it as being “very Parisienne.” They carry leather bags and accessories that mostly come in black, which can fit into any Parisian’s wardrobe. The blouses are neutrals with a pop of color like the one photographed below.

This one retailed at 55.00€. The merchandising of the display gives idea for the perfect Parisian outfit. Pair the blouse with one of So We Are’s leather handbags, a pair of black trousers and white detailed oxfords that retail at 140.00€. The simple accessories of a few bracelets or a long necklace completes the look. The store window is fun and inviting. The only downside is the size of the store. I can only imagine how tight it feels one a busy Saturday afternoon. The employee inside was very inviting and willing to assist me if I needed it.

I definitely suggest checking out So We Are for a few Spring stable pieces! You will not regret it. Until next time!

Anne et Marion

Bonjour Fashionistas!

Every day on my walk home from my metro station, I pass the most adorable boutique. I finally decided to go in last week, and was greeted by a Sales Associate also named Claire, who explained to me that the Owners, themselves named Anne and Marion, own two of these boutiques in Paris, and are responsible for all of the buying for the stores. She also noted that their typical customer is a woman in her late twenties or early thirties.

The boutique offered apparel and accessories- handbags, sunglasses, shoes, etc. I really liked a lot of the pieces offered at this boutique- there was lots of color, and there were more casual pieces, but also an abundance of business-casual type attire for the working woman. The price point wasn’t too crazy, but was considerably more expensive than a fast-fashion store such as Zara or H&M.

The style of the clothing in this boutique could be described as very feminine. There are lots of pieces with colorful patterns, lace detailing, and floral prints. I particularly liked this blouse, which had a very unique print; the outline of part of a face with bright red lips surrounded by a busy yellow and black print. This blouse was 60 euros.

Anne et Marion also had a variety of accessories that would be a great addition to your Spring wardrobe! Near the cash register there was a huge selection of colorful scarves, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and more, all at pretty affordable price points!

Be sure to check out one of the Anne et Marion boutiques in Paris when you can, you won’t be disappointed! 🙂

xoxo, Claire

Fred Perry in Le Marais

Located in the heart of Le Marais is a well known brand and designer, Fred Perry. His boutique in Le Marais is right near the center and located around the corner from the very so specialized Supreme store, drawing a lot of artistic and cool energy. Fred Perry for the longest time, and to this day still, brands himself on mens simple street wear – but when I went inside he has a collection dedicated to the collaboration with famous designer Raf Simmons. This line varied from what either designer really aims towards in a general sense but brings to light a very interesting and sharp look to Fred Perry’s line. While Fred Perry does lean more on the simple, sophisticated look his collaboration with Raf Simmons gives him an edge that looks very modern and edgy. With his signature polo, Fred Perry’s collab turns his tasteful, thoroughbred polo into a high end street wear for the edgy male to carry around town. The reputation behind Fred Perry is very different of Raf Simmons but their collab is breaking new ground with their different cutting edge styles.

American Vintage

Hey girls! It’s Brianna, and I’m back with another must-visit boutique!

Today I stopped by a super cute women’s store American Vintage located at 19 Rue Du Temple in Le Marais. The store caught my attention because of the all white walls and color coded merchandising.

American Vintage is actually a chain store, with locations all over Paris. The clothing is perfect for the changing seasons! I love the cleanliness of the store, and the employee was very welcoming.

Below are some of my favorite pieces and more photos of the store.

I love this long olive green cardigan. Here it’s paired with a pair of blue jeans, but you can dress it up a little more with a white chiffon blouse, black denim pants and short black booties.

I love this pairing of the orange blouse and striped pants for a warm Spring afternoon. This outfit is perfect for brunch on the terrace or a day exploring the city.

I highly recommend checking out American Vintage! You can use Yelp to find a location nearest you.

Nice Things

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting one of my new friend’s clothing store that she works at called Nice Things.

It’s located at 119 rue Vieille du Temple in the 3ème. This store is so cute and warm! Jane has been working there for almost a year now, and has already earned a lot of responsibility like opening and closing the store alone.

Nice Things is a company founded in Barcelona, Spain, which explains the Mediterranean/beach/vineyard vibes I got when I entered the store. Pastel hues and Spring sandals are big trends.

This mustard colored bucket bag was my favorite accessory! It’s perfect for a beach day or a picnic. It retails at 69.00 euros.

They even have a children’s section! It’s called “Collection Mini.” Mom’s can buy similar outfits for their toddler daughters! How cute?!

This outfit near the front of the store was one of my favorites. I have an obsession with white pants! The dark jacket paired with the coral sandals create an appealing contrast because of the white capris.

The weather is getting warmer, so check out Nice Things and buy a few items for the Spring/Summer seasons! You won’t regret it!

Vintage System

This week we are going to highlight another chic boutique – this time a vintage shop! Located in Le Marais, this boutique is like no other. Embodying ideas of simplicity with grunge, this boutique is like no other. On the higher end of the vintage stores in Paris, Vintage System has more to offer than someone’s old sweater, they have trendy clothing that speaks to our generation. With a killer playlist and some of the best military clothing paris has to offer, Vintage system break ground on the vintage stores in Paris. IMG_6838.JPG.jpegIMG_6030.JPG.jpegIMG_6029.JPG.jpeg

Atelier Beaurepaire

Hey chic girls! This week’s boutique is a feature on the men’s clothing in a unisex street wear store. I know, you’re probably thinking, “why is she featuring men’s clothing?!” Sometimes it’s not always about us, but the important men in our lives. They have to be stylish, too, right? This boutique is a great place to buy a garment for your boyfriend or dear friend for their birthday or even the holidays!

Jimmy Joseph Fellous is the co-owner and designer of Atelier Beaurepaire, located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.

Although he was born and raised in Paris, France, his family is from the Democratic Republic of Congo, a francophone country located in Central Africa. Jimmy’s inspiration comes from his African roots as well as his love for skateboarding and music. He would describe his company as a lifestyle brand.

Here are a few of my favorite pieces that I think would make great gifts!

This bomber jacket runs at 195€. It’s a little on the pricey side, however it’s made of great quality and will definitely last.

This wool + cotton blend pullover sweater is a great addition to any guy’s closet! It can be worn to work or with a pair of dark blue jeans and sneakers. It’s priced at 125€.

These burgundy slim fit pants are perfect for a guy who wants to add a pop of color to his neutral wardrobe. They cost 95€.

Don’t forget to pick something up for yourself ladies! This light cotton skater skirt is perfect for the Spring/Summer seasons! You can pair it with a white crotchet top.

If you’re in the 10th district, make sure to check out Atelier Beaurepaire! It’s walking distance from the Jacques Bonsergent Metro Station.
