Hello everybody !
This week I’d like to share with you the interview that I did with Isis Balla, the Parisian girl of the week. I met her here in Paris, where she was born and raised. Since the first time I saw her, I loved her style! I think that it represents very well today’s Parisian fashion.
We met at the well-known Champs-Elysées to take some photos and talk about her style.
I hope you’ll enjoy !
Me : Can you describe to us your style ?
Isis : I like to define it as timeless style. I say that because it is a mix of vintage and modern clothes. I like to wear sexy and casual dress, because I think that it reflects my personality. My favorite fabrics are muslin, velvet, lace and denim. I always wear ethnic jewels. I love it because it adds color to my more basic outfits. You could certainly not separate me from a pair of heels and my red lipstick.
My manicure is important too because we have to be beautiful down to our fingerstips !
Me : What are you wearing today ?
Isis : Today I’m wearing a white muslin blouse from The Kooples, which I love so much because of its plain and elegant look, a vintage pair of jeans which I found in a secondhand clothes shop, a pair of black booties with a zipper from New Look, and a black leather belt from Asos which gives a rock aspect to the outfit. I have my little black bag from Zadig&Voltaire, one of my favourites, ethnic earrings from a Parisian creator and a green bracelet from Gas, which is a jewel boutique very loved by Parisians girls. Finally, I have of course my manicure, which is made with dried flowers and semi-permanent nail polish, and my red lips !
Me : Where do you usually do your shopping ?
Isis : I like, as I was saying earlier, to mix vintage and modern clothes. So I love to search for original things in secondhand clothing shops, but I have my favorites stores like Zadig&Voltaire, Sandro, Maje… which are very famous french ready-to-wear brands. My best shopping area is Le Marais, in the third district of Paris, because there is everything that I need ! They have the best secondhands clothes and a lot of my favorites shops. I recommend you to go and check there if you can one day !
I would really like to thanks Isis for the time she dedicated to this interview, and for sharing with us her point of view of parisian fashion !
Why don’t you give us yours ? We’d love to have your opinion !
See you soon !
